Once event setup is complete, the admin can proceed with Registration setup, accessible from the top navigation bar. It's a five-step process:
- Host Organisation
- Attendees
- Time Frames
- Committee
- Custom Questions
Host Organisation
Link an organisation to your event via "+Add Organization." One or more linked organisations can be classified as hosting organisations. Organisations must be created first in the Organisations setup tab before linking them to events.
Attendees
Set up Attendee Categories via "+Add Category" — these identify the basic types of delegates attending, commonly Member, Student, Sponsor/Exhibitor, Non-Member, and Invited. Sponsor/Exhibitor and Invited types are hidden. There's no limit on categories, but fewer types keeps the cost structure simpler.
Time Frames
Set up registration Time Frames to create offers with different costs for Early Bird, Regular, Late registrations, etc. Early Bird and Regular are pre-populated; more can be added via "+Add Time Frame." Timeframe variations must be managed carefully to prevent conflicts.
Committee
Add committee members via "+Add Committee," searching by username or email. Two access types: Regular Access (registration data, addon data, abstracts) and Financial Access (reconciliation, ledger data, advanced delegate reports) — enabled via the Financial Committee checkbox.
Custom Questions
Custom Questions add flexibility to the registration process, supporting up to ten response formats including document/image uploads, and can be mandatory or optional. Each question can be linked to an Addon, Delegate Type, Registration Type, or Linked Organisation, with "Make Admin Only" and "Make Admin Readable" options for administrator-exclusive visibility and editability.
